Gastón Santiago Courreges | Director

Gastón S.Courreges was born in Piedritas (Buenos Aires) on 14th April, 1979. He started dancing when he was fifteen years old and he got his degree a Teacher of Folklore Dances from “El Cimarrón” Institute. He founded “Malambo Argentino” Ballet and nowadays he manages the Folklore School of general Villegas.

He has been on several national and international tours sometimes as dancer and in other opportunities as manager of the Ballet: Canada(2000),Brazil(2001), Mendoza(2003); Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic (2004); Bolivia and Peru(2005); Cosquín and Jujuy (2006); France and England(2007); Portugal and Spain(2008); Colombia(2010); Italy (2011), Tucumán (2012). Central Europe-Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia- (2013), Netherlands and Belgium (2014), Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia (2017).

He dances Tango and Folklore but he is also fond of football and box.

Gonzalo Nicolás Esteban

He is from Piedritas. He was born in Gral.Villegas on 23rd September 1987. He is a Physical Education teacher. He got his degree from “General José de San Martín” Institute in Rosario and now he is doing post-graduate studies to specialize in sports training in Concepción del Uruguay University, in Rosario.

He started dancing when he was six in Mrs.Rosana Lahitte´s Dance School (“The Swallows”). He is a teacher of native and folklore dances; he got this degree from “El Cimarrón” Institute. He dances folklore and tango.

He went on national and international tours: Mendoza (2003),Bolivia and Perú (2005), Jujuy (2006),Spain and Portugal (2008), Italy (2011) and Tucumán (2012), Central Europe-Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia- (2013), Netherlands and Belgium (2014), Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia (2017).

He loves physical activities: running, climbing, rowing and going to the gym. He also likes listening to music and going out with his friends.

Leticia Pascual

She was born in E.V.Bunge(BA) on 3rd March,1991. She is an Architect, having finished his studies in the Faculty of Architecture Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires, in the year 2015. She started dancing when she was five years old in the Argentine Choreographic School where she got her degree as a teacher of Spanish dances in 2006.

She dances tango, folk and Spanish dances. She entered Malambo Argentino Ballet in 2007. She was on these tours: Portugal and Spain (2008), Italy (2011) and Tucumán (2012), Central Europe-Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia- (2013), Netherlands and Belgium (2014), Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia (2017).

She loves singing and playing the guitar, dancing, swimming, drawing and running.

Lucrecia Pascual

Lucrecia was born in Emilio V. Bunge on 5th August, 1995. She is currently studying Biochemical at “Facultad de Farmacia y Bioquímica” of the University of Buenos Aires.

She started dancing when she was four, in the Argentine Choreographic School and in 2010 she got she degree as a teacher of Spanish dances. She dances Spanish, Contemporary, Jazz, Hiphop, Tango, and Folklore music. She is a member of the Ballet since 2012. She went to dance in Tucumán in September, 2012. Central Europe-Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia- (2013) Netherlands and Belgium (2014), Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia (2017).

She loves dancing and also playing hockey, running, listening to music and spending time with friends.

Anyelén Ponzi

She is from Piedritas. She was born in Gral.Villegas on 18th March 1993. Received of Accountant Public, in the Universidad national of the Pampa (2016). She started dancing when she was seven. She is a teacher of Native and Folklore dances and she dances Tango, too.

She was on several tours: Mendoza (2003), Jujuy (2006),France and England (2007), Portugal and Spain (2008), Portugal and Spain-including the Canary Isles- in 2010, Italy (2011) and Tucumán (2012), Central Europe-Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia- (2013), Netherlands and Belgium (2014), Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia (2017).

Her hobbies include observing and practicing sports.

María Ailén Ponzi

She is from Piedritas.She was born in General Villegas on 15th December,1995. She is currently studying Biochemical at “Facultad de Ciencias Bioquímicas y Farmacéuticas” of the National University of Rosario.

She began to dance when she was four. She is a teacher of native and Folklore Dances; the degree was granted by “El Cimarrón” Institute. She dances tango, folklore, Jazz and Spanish music.

She was on tours to: Mendoza (2003), Jujuy (2006),France and England (2007), Portugal and Spain (2008), Portugal and Spain- and the Canary isles- in 2010, Italy (2011) and Tucumán (2012), Central Europe-Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia- (2013), Netherlands and Belgium (2014), Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia (2017).

She loves dancing but also playing volleyball, swimming and listening to music.

Patricio Germán Porrato Pastorino

He is from Piedritas. He was born in General Villegas on 27th August,1990. It graduate of Engineer in Agricultural Production, in the Catholic University Argentina, Buenos Aires headquarters. He is a Producer Adviser of Insurances. Began to dance when he was six years old at “Las Golondrinas” Academy managed by Mrs. Rosana Lahitte.

He got his degree as a teacher of Native and Folklore Dances from “El Cimarrón” Institutte in 2007. He dances tango and folklore.

He has been on the following tours: Mendoza (2003), Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic (2004), Italy (2005), Cosquín and Jujuy (2006), France and England (2007), Portugal and Spain (2008), Portugal and Spain- and the Canary Isles-(2010), Italy (2011) and Tucumán (2012), Central Europe-Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia- (2013), Netherlands and Belgium (2014), Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia (2017).

His hobbies include: share family reunions with friends. He likes the sports, the games of strategy and playing the violin.

José Ignacio Prola

José is from Bunge. He was born in Buenos Aires on 27th July,1993. He is studying at the University of Buenos Aires. He started dancing when he was six. He is a teacher of Native and Folklore dances. He got this degree from “El Cimarrón” Institute. He dances tango and folklore.

He was on tours: Jujuy (2006),Portugal and Spain (2008), Portugal and Spain –and the Canary Isles- (2010), Colombia (2010), Italy (2011) and Tucumán (2012), Central Europe-Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia- (2013), Netherlands and Belgium (2014), Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia (2017).

He loves dancing playing the guitar and singing.

Felicita Cambas

Felicitas CAMBAS, originally from Piedritas, was born in General Villegas on July 2, 1992. In 2014, she received a Technician in Clothing and Textile Design from the National University of the Northwest of the Province of Buenos Aires -UNNOBA-. Currently studying at the University of the Arts -UNA- in the city of Buenos Aires: Interpreter of Tango.

He started dancing at age 4, at the Academy “Las Golondrinas” directed by Mrs. Rosana Lahitte. She is a Teacher and Teacher of Native and Folk Dance, title granted in 2008 by the Institute “El Cimarrón”. Dance Folklore and Tango.

As a dancer at the Academy and later at the Ballet, she has intercome on the following tours: Jujuy-2006-, France and England -2007-, Portugal and Spain -2008- Portugal and Spain -including Canary Islands -2010-, Tucumán -2012-, Central Europe -Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia- 2013 , The Netherlands and Belgium -2014-.

Besides dancing, he loves to listen to music, to do yoga, to work in his profession and to enjoy family and friends.

Joaquín Miguel Iturria

Joaquín Miguel ITURRIA is a native of Emilio V. Bunge, was born on November 19, 1993. He is currently studying the Final Compulsory Practice corresponding to the 6th year of the Medicine Career, at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of Rosario – A R-.

He joined the Academia Malambo Argentino in 2004, where he obtained the title of Professor of Native and Folk Dance in 2010, awarded by the Institute “El Cimarrón”. Dance Folklore and Tango.

He participated in the Tours Jujuy -2006-, Portugal and Spain -2008-, Italy -2011-. Central Europe 2013 -Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia-, The Netherlands and Belgium -2014-.

His main hobby is reading.

Marcos Gonzalo Sánchez Palomino

Marcos Gonzalo SÁNCHEZ PALOMINO is a native of Piedritas, he was born in General Villegas on September 21, 1989. He is finishing his career as an Engineer in Information Systems, at the National Technological University of the Regional Faculty of Rosario.

He started dancing in 1996 at Peña Folklorica “El Cencerro”, directed by Mrs. Marisa Cáldenes. Entering the year 2000 in the Academia “Malambo Argentino”, where he graduated with the title of Teacher -2005- and Professor -2007- of Native and Folkloric Dances of the Institute “El Cimarrón”. He joined the Ballet until 2012, after this impasse, he was reinstated this year. Dance Folklore and Tango.

He participated in the following tours: Mendoza -2003-, Cosquín -2006-, Jujuy -2006-, France and England -2007-, Portugal and Spain -2008-, Italy -2011-.

Lover in general of all artistic expressions, has a special fondness for music, hence enjoy the possibility of listening to it and playing the guitar in free time.

Amalia Torres

Amalia TORRES was born in General Villegas, on December 3, 1992. In 2017, she finished her career as a University Analyst in Business Administration at the Universidad del Centro Educativo Latinoamericano. He lacks a subject to finish the Public Accountant Career at the same University, Rosario campus.

He began to dance at three years old at the Academy “Las Golondrinas” directed by Mrs. Rosana Lahitte. She joined the Academy in 2000. She is a teacher and teacher of Native and Folk Dance, a title granted by the Instituto “El Cimarrón” in 2007. Baila Folklore.

He participated in the following tours: Mendoza -2003-, Cosquín and Jujuy -2006-, Portugal and Spain -2008-. After an important impasse of years, he returned to the Ballet in 2018.

Among his hobbies he likes to share his time with family and friends, listen to music, swim, but above all things dance.

Alejo Sesino

Alejo SESINO, originally from Piedritas, was born in General Villegas on July 27, 2000. He is currently in the 6th year of high school, at Secondary School No. 2 “Fortín Coronel Gainza”

He joined the Academy “Malambo Argentino in 2008. He is a Teacher and Professor of Native and Folk Dance, title granted by the Institute” El Cimarrón “in 2017. Dance Folklore and Tango. It is also a member of the Municipal School of Folklore and Tango of General Villegas.

He participated in the international tour “Europe 2017” which included the presentation on stages of Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia.

His hobby is par excellence dance, he also likes to play guitar and sports such as football, paddle and volleyball.

Santiago Heber Arévalo Belgamase

Santiago Heber ARÉVALO BELGAMASE is a native of Piedritas, he was born in General Villegas, on October 21, 1999. He has just completed his high school studies at Secondary School No. 2 “Fortín Coronel Gainza”.

He entered the “Malambo Argentino” Academy in 2012, obtaining the title of Teacher and Teacher of Native and Folk Dance, at the end of 2017. He also dances in the Municipal School of Folklore and Tango of General Villegas.

He has not yet participated in international tours.

His hobbies include playing football with friends and listening to music.

Joaquín Fernández González

Joaquín FERNÁNDEZ GONZÁLEZ is a native of Emilio V. Bunge, was born on February 6, 2000. He finished his high school studies in 2017, being enrolled to attend the Social Communication University.

He started dancing in the “Malambo Argentino” Academy in 2013. He also dances in the Municipal School of Folklore and Tango of General Villegas.

He has not participated in international tours.

Among his hobbies is dancing Folklore, Tango and Hip hop and graphic design.

Justina Besso

Justina BESSO, a native of General Villegas, was born in La Plata on November 8, 2000. She is currently in her 6th year of high school at the “María Inmaculada” Institute.

He started dancing folklore at ten years old. In 2017 she obtained the title of Teacher and Teacher of Native and Folk Dance, awarded by the Institute “El Cimarrón”. She is a dancer of the Municipal School of Folklore and Tango of General Villegas.

She has participated in different national competitions and at the international level she accompanied as a guest the Ballet “Malambo Argentino” to the International Tour that she made the previous year, to Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia.

Among his hobbies is taking Classical and Jazz dance classes, in addition to those of Folklore and Tango. He likes to draw and sports.

Tatiana Ponce

Tatiana PONCE was born in General Villegas, on October 12, 2001.
She is a Teacher of Native and Folk Dance, besides being a dancer of the Municipal School of General Villegas.
The previous year, she participated as guest of the International Tour that the Ballet “Malambo Argentino” held in Serbia, the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia.
